Will Darling is an "ambisexual" (read: bisexual) man pulled from 1920s London and fought in WWI in Flanders for the whole of the war. Subjects that may come up include:
- Veterans and their treatment after being demobilized
- PTSD from wartime activities, including gassing and chemical warfare, trench raids and murders, and a deep-seated anger towards war profiteering.
- Internalized homophobia and a need to keep same sex relationships and activities a secret for fear of societal and legal reprocussion. This is not a strong pull and will probably no longer be a concern once he gets used to a setting, provided the setting allows.
- Some mildly misogynistic views that women need to be protected. He can be easily convinced out of this, but it will be his knee jerk reaction to women in danger.
